Long term tests

Suzuki Swift Sport

Suzuki dealers are thin on the ground, something to think about when servicing's due

After being away for most of last month, it was good to get back into the Suzuki and wash away the taste of the last car I drove – rented Toyota Camry auto, oh yes – with a shot of sparky throttle response, finger- snap gearchange and fun-tastic handling. In fact, there’s only one small poo in the swimming pool and that’s trying to get this car its overdue service. Buy a Ford and you’ll find a franchised dealer every few miles. But Suzuki dealers are inconveniently thin on the ground, meaning a big chunk of time lost whilst you schlep miles just to get the oil changed. Still, given how much I love the Swift, it’s a small price to pay.
