My two children have nicknamed the IS-F ‘Daddy’s jiggly car’. Not bumpity (that was the Evo X), nor bouncy (step forward Mini John Cooper Works), but jiggly.
I’ve told them that the IS-F falls through its damper travel a touch fast, so when it gets to the end it just bobs straight back up and it’s that sudden rebound at the bottom that makes it feel like that. They looked at me blankly. Luke (aged 3) then asked me to ‘make it do that noise again’. I told him that at 3700rpm another intake port opens, creating the snarly sound that makes him laugh like a drain. More blank looks, but very happy faces. Jiggly car becomes giggly car. Top motor, this.
