Last month's epic drive down to the south of France (thankfully completed by John Hayman) finally did for the VXT's brakes. It needs pads all round, signalled by awful groans whenever you try to summon any meaningful stopping power. The problem is they cost nearly £400 fitted! Scary. Even taking into account the couple of trackdays the VXT has done, it's a bit of a shock to face such a steep bill after fewer than 8000 miles. Still, I have a feeling we'll be needing plenty of stopping power in the next few weeks as I've got a few plans to upgrade the VXT...
