While I realise it's only a diddy car, I was pleasantly surprised that the Sportka's 12,500-mile service depleted the Fraser coffers by just £126. The service was carried out by the John Grose dealership in Diss and included a 'visual health check' (of the Sportka, not me) that revealed the tyres are wearing evenly and that a small split is developing in one of the suspension arm bushes - probably the result of the Roger Green/white van/earth bank incident earlier in the Sportka's life (062).
The little Ford now seems to run much better, especially from cold when previously it would shunt and stutter. The only problem I foresee is that very soon Ford is going to want it back; in preparation for having to bash out an end-of-term report, if there are any Sportka owners out there who fancy sharing their experiences, email fastfleet@evo.co.uk
