Caterham R300

Nothing is nice at four in the morning. Especially on a wet, dark Monday. To make things worse, add the fact that there is me, my brother and all my camera gear to fit into the R300 and I'm trying not to wake the neighbours.

Nothing is nice at four in the morning. Especially on a wet, dark Monday. To make things worse, add the fact that there is me, my brother and all my camera gear to fit into the R300 and I'm trying not to wake the neighbours.

Maybe I was a bit hasty to steal the R300 for the weekend, but the forecast promised sun. Of course, within two minutes of leaving the office on Friday night I was treated to a shower of biblical proportions. In fact, the biblical references became such a large part of my vocab for such a big chunk of the journey home I nearly took up the priesthood.

When it's raining the water seeps under the 'door' and down the inside of the car. In turn any clothing in the general vicinity - jacket, jumper, trouser leg, whatever - soaks it all up.

We fitted everything in eventually, though the exhaust woke the neighbours. We were pretty damp and very cramped, but we were also very awake, slightly deaf and grinning inanely when we reached our half-five meeting point.

Is the new Aston Martin One-77 worth the money?
 How much? Hell no!
  Yep, I would buy one!
