The space-saver, by the way, boasts a full-size alloy but its tyre size is smaller than the Lexus's rear tyres, so you're restricted to 80kph. Frustrating. Discovering I couldn't get the spacer-saver off again thanks to my RAC man was also frustrating.
Understaffed and unhelpful Lexus Norwich didn't have the time to get the wheel nuts off for me, but an affiliated tyre dealer did the business. Lexus Norwich was also unable to help me with a headlamp problem whereby I was blinding oncoming traffic.
Potentially dangerous I thought, and so did Jason from Lexus Ipswich when I rang him. Following his suggestion, I had a proper look at the lights, which went straight to high beam when you switched on low beam. No wonder people flashed. Jumping up and down in the boot - on Jason's advice - jolted low and high beams back to their proper positions, but low beam is still too dazzling.
The SportCross goes back soon, so if there are any owners out there who'd like to contribute to the End of Term Report, drop a line to fastfleet@evo.co.uk.
