The Audi Sport Team Joest #2 car of Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoît Tréluyer took its second victory in a row in this weekend’s FIA World Endurance Championship at Circuit of the Americas.

Texas doesn’t have much in common with Circuit de la Sarthe at Le Mans, but this year each has presented teams and drivers with the challenge of a flash downpour, causing trouble for several of the top drivers. With both Toyotas and the #20 Porsche skating off the track, the red flag was waved.

When the race re-started, Audis two and one took off ahead of the #20 Porsche. In the end though, the #8 Toyota of Davidson, Lapierre and Buemi overcame its earlier spin to take the final podium position – also ensuring the three drivers keep their early championship lead.
