Lamborghini Gallardo facelift

Speak preview of baby Lambo’s nip’n’tuck

Lamborghini is preparing this mildly facelifted Gallardo for launch next year. These photos were taken during a recent factory visit for US dealers. Revisions include reprofiled front wings, taller scoops above the rear arches, square tailpipes and two cooling grilles rather than three at the rear, giving this Gallardo a much closer visual link to the Murciélago. (There's increasing energy going into distancing Lamborghini from Audi, especially since the announcement of the Gallardo-based Audi R8.)

There is also talk of a special 550bhp, two-wheel-drive Gallardo to do battle with Ferrari's expected F430 Stradale road car. Meanwhile, Lamborghini will be revealing the Murciélago LP640 Roadster at the Paris motor show (Sept 30 – Oct 15).
