A6 Ready To Fight E-Class

Both BMW and Audi are going to be affected by the new tech-laden E-class, and Audi has got in a pre-emptive strike with the revised A6 Sport models. Both four- and six-cylinder Sport models get new nine-spoke 17-inch wheels combined with suspension that's 20mm lower than the existing Sport set-up. Body-coloured bumpers and unique, re-styled sills complete the more aggressive and distinctive package.

Prices for the Sport pack range from £900 to £1000 over the standard model. So the entry-level 2-litre starts at £21,950 whilst the range- topping Avant 4.2 quattro Sport costs £40,700.

The 340bhp S6 has also had a mild make-over with 18-inch wheels wearing 255/35 ZR-rated rubber replacing the previous 17-inch Avus alloys. Prices start at £46,370.

The long-awaited RS6 is in final development and should be ready to tackle the M5 and the upcoming supercharged E55 later this year.
