This is the future face of Rover and MG products. The Rover TCV concept shows the radical styling direction that the British firm will take over the next few years. Gone are the days of re-badged Hondas and conservative design as MG Rover creates a bold new identity. A new series of mid-range MG and Rover products to replace the 25/ZR and 45/ZS, complete with many styling themes from the TCV, will be launched in 2004.

Unfortunately, such is the fervour to produce show-stopping new models that occasionally an absolute howler slips onto the show stand. At Geneva this dubious honour falls to the Rover 25 Art Car whose horrific colour scheme and interior were chosen by fashion designer Matthew Williamson. Yuck.
