Ferrari 599 GTB: Going Dutch with Ferrari

Netherlands company designs GTO tribute based on 599 GTB

Coachbuilding seems very much back in vogue, with Ferrari the brand of choice when it comes to bespoke bodies. Here’s the latest one we’ve come across, from newly founded Dutch outfit Vandenbrink Design.

Called the Vandenbrink GTO, presumably in honour of the famous 250 GTO its shape resembles, it’s based on the Ferrari 599 GTB.

Vandenbrink Design was set up in the summer of 2006 by designer Michiel van den Brink and entrepreneur Robert Koumans. As an opening gambit the automotive design company produced this ‘Ferrari 599 GTO Mugello’ design study which was so well received that it was decided to put it into limited production.

Vandenbrink intends to build just five GTOs – three of which are already sold – with the bodies to be fashioned by Dutch Ferrari specialist Hietbrink.
