BMW Sauber F1 Formula 1 car to run at the 'RingThis week a Formula 1 car runs on the the Nürburgring for the first time in 31 years The Nürburgring is to see a Formula 1 car in action for the first time in 31 years when BMW Sauber runs its F1.07 on the Nordschleife as part of a celebration of BMW’s racing heritage on 28th April. Nick Heidfeld will drive the 12.9-mile circuit, and while officially it’s not a record attempt, the 6min 11sec set in 1983 by Stefan Bellof in a Group C Porsche 956 might be under threat.
