Mugen Type R

Renowned Honda race outfit Mugen has upped the performance of the Type R

Mugen, the renowned Honda race and tuning outfit, has given the Japanese-market Civic Type-R saloon an extra 15bhp and lopped another 10kg off its weight. It has also added an extra initial to the car’s name, calling it the Type-RR.

Power is up to 237bhp, developed at the same screaming 8000rpm, and the suspension and brakes have also been upgraded. The bad news is that only 300 RRs will be made, none of them officially for sale outside of Japan.
