Frankfurt: F430 Scuderia unveiled

Former F1 champ Michael Schumacher unveils the F430 Ferrari Scuderia

Ferrari's 430 Scuderia has been unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show by the former F1 champ, Michael Schumacher. Seven-times champ Schumacher's immense expertise was tapped into at various development stages by the Ferrari designers, to blend the mix of conventional and F1-derived technology.

The F430 Scuderia develops 375.4 kW (510bhp) at 8,500rpm and weighs in at 1250kg (dry). Ingredients allowing a 0 to 100km/h time of 3.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h in less than 11.6 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h.

Ferrari big-wigs also announced at the Show that revenues had increased by 14 per cent in the first half of the year and that production will exceed 6,000 cars this year.
