Gerhard Richter has left his position as head of M Power at BMW in order to oversee the development of BMW’s Grand Turismo saloon, which is due for launch in 2011. The rumour mill has it that he’s also working on BMW’s answer to Audi’s R8, a mid-engined car based around the V8 engine from the BMW M3.
