MAY 24-June 6 Isle of Man TTNobody should be this brave. John McGuinness last year set a 131mph (that’s average speed) lap and it sums up why you simply have to go to the TT at least once. Even if you don’t ride a bike you will love it. Don’t expect to go over in a Lamborghini and be cuddled, but you’ll get grudging respect if you take a Caterham or Atom. Finding somewhere conventional to stay (like a hotel) can be tricky but islanders open up their homes as sort of informal B&Bs. Look on the homestay section of the tourist board’s website – www.visitisleofman.com – for availability. If you want somewhere to watch then we recommend the bottom of Bray Hill. www.iomtt.com

MAY 29-JUNE 1WRC Acropolis Rally, GreeceThe toughest rally of the year. Cars have to be built extra strong and crews need to be at peak fitness. www.wrc.com

JUNE 1 Goodwood Breakfast Club, Supercar Sunday The best place to look at an Enzo whilst munching on an organic snorker. www.goodwood.co.uk

JUNE 6-8 F1 Canadian GP Look out for people crashing into the Wall of Champions (it used to have ‘Bienvenue au Quebec’ on it!). www.f1.com

JUNE 7-8 The Rally Show at Chatsworth Have you been missing Gronholm this year? Well, luckily for you, he’ll be at Chatsworth. www.therallyshow.org
