Driven by none other than Lewis Hamilton’s dad (and manager), Anthony, eyewitnesses report that the accident appeared to be a result of over exuberance at the wheel of the £330,000 supercar.
For any evo reader there can’t be many sights more sorrowful then seeing one of our favourite cars looking a bit battered and bruised following an unscheduled off-road excursion – as the Carrera GT pictured here testifies.
The car span 180 degrees across a grass verge, demolishing a hedge and fence before coming to rest adjacent to a children’s play area. Thankfully the latter was unoccupied at the time of the accident and both Hamilton and his passenger were able to walk away unharmed. The scene of the crash was reported to be some 200 yards from his own home in Herts.
