This year’s British International Motor Show has given us plenty to look at, including the first chance to see several important new cars in the flesh. There are a brace of mouth watering sports cars on display including the stunning new Lotus Evora, the Alfa Romeo 8C and the 700bhp electric Lightning GT.

Meanwhile Ford’s Focus RS, Renault’s Mégane R26R and no less than three fast Subarus head up a strong showing from the hardcore hatchbacks. The show also sees the launch of the Vauxhall Insignia – a car that GM hope will challenge the Ford Mondeo’s dynamic supremacy in the world front-wheel drive saloons.
