50 Years of Lola

Parade to celebrate racing car maker's half century

Racing car manufacturer Lola is 50 years old, and to celebrate it sent 17 of its most iconic cars piloted by some of the marque's most recognisable drivers on a parade around its home, the town of Huntingdon.

The parade took place on Sunday October 12 2008,with thousands of people lining the streets and market square to cheer on the drivers and photograph the cars.

Lola has made a name for itself in various levels of motorsport, including Le Mans, Formula One and Group C racing - with iconic drivers such as John Surtees, Graham Hill and Anthony Reid taking the wheel of Lolas over the years.
