Another score of pictures from the 2009 North American show

The Detroit motor show is a different affair to normal this year, with the downturn of the car industry both sides of the pond leading to less brash launches and an influx of green technology and talk of electric-based futures.

Fear not, though, as there is still a bunch of high performance cars and fun vehicles there. The new Mini convertible definitely fits into the latter while Audi looked rightfully smug with itself as the world's media crowded around the new Sportback concept.
