Detroit Motor Show gallery III

More stars and highlights from the first motor show of 2009

The Detroit motor show is a different affair to normal this year, with the downturn of the car industry both sides of the pond leading to less brash launches and an influx of green technology and talk of electric-based futures.

Despite this, there's still plenty of fun in store. Dodge has taken the Lotus Europa as its base for an electric vehicle while VW has kindly slotted its 2-litre TDI into a cracking mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive roadster.
