Caparo race series

Last month the Caparo T1 became the fastest car we’ve ever lapped two-up around the Bedford Autodrome and now you can race one

Caparo T1

From 2010 there will be two race series for the Caparo T1000, a ten race series for professional drivers run entirely in the UK and a six race format for amateur drivers that will include two overseas rounds. For the race cars the front-end will be revised, the passenger seat removed and the power from the 3.5-litre V8 will be reduced to 470bhp (from the road car’s 610bhp). All the cars will be run centrally and for the series to become viable 32 drivers need to be signed by the autumn. Tests will be run through July at a cost of £3500 per 100 miles, however the first 16 drivers will have that fee refunded. So what are you waiting for?
