The Monterey RM Auction being held on August 19-20 boasts some interesting lots. Grabbing all the headlines is the Porsche 911 driven by Steve McQueen in the 1971 film Le Mans. He drives the grey 911S, with a now humble sounding 200bhp 2.2-litre six-cylinder engine, in the movie’s opening scenes and its resulting fame sees it overshadow numerous racing cars and supercars it’ll attract bidding alongside at the auction. Its estimate price is only available upon request.
 
Of course, it’s not the only intriguing car going under the hammer. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Jaguar are all well represented at the sale alongside vintage cars and curiosities, the oddly styled but beguiling Abarth Zagato coupe one of our favourites.
