Lamborghini Aventador gallery and video

Lamborghini builds its 1000th Aventador LP700-4 supercar. We celebrate with a video and big picture gallery

The 1000th Lamborghini Aventador has been delivered to its owner.  The company’s production line has celebrated the milestone little more than a year after the V12 supercar first launched. Its predecessor, the Murcielago, reached the same chassis number after almost three years.

German architect Hans Scheidecker was handed the keys to his new pride and joy from Lamborghini President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann. As a Lambo fanatic, Scheidecker already owns a Diablo so his new Aventador, which is finished in suitably bold Argos Orange, will have another mad Italian bull to keep it company at its new home.

With 690bhp erupting from its 6.5-litre V12 engine, the Aventador boasts a 0-60mph time of 2.8sec and a 217mph top speed, making it Lamborghini's fastest ever road car.

There is currently an 18 month waiting list for Lamborghini’s flagship model and the company has increased production from three to 4.5 cars per day to try and get Aventadors to their waiting owners as quickly as possible.

To celebrate 1000 Aventadors on the road, we've gathered together some images of Lambo's fastest ever road car. You can also see our Aventador video review below.
