Volvo Launches Uprated Models

Volvo has unveiled a fresh look and engineering changes to the S60, V70 and XC70 ranges.

The new-generation 4C active suspension system is now offered on all front-drive versions, as well as on the all-wheel-drive V70R. Volvo claims re-worked software has speeded up the damper response. It also claims that 4C's 'Sport' setting will work better on UK roads because the higher damper speeds will better handle 'bigger road disturbances'.

The S60 T5's engine has been mildly uprated and it also gets bigger brakes and the V70R's six-speed gearbox, as well as the option of a faster-shifting automatic transmission. Known as the T5 Sport , the new model costs ΂£26,311 and is on sale now. The even quicker S60R arrives in two months' time.
