Details of the coupe's exact spec are scarce at present but the Australian GT packs a 400bhp 5.7-litre Chevy V8 (and weighs just 1100kg), so expect the UK version to have at least 450bhp. Stelliga has been quick to see the potential of a traditional front-engine/rear-drive British sports car with a globally homologated engine, and it made sense to launch the GT with the existing TSO R/T roadster mechanical package. But for the UK Marcos feels it necessary to set a new benchmark in performance-per-£ terms.
The new coupe will feature additional aerodynamic aids to increase downforce, and Marcos hints that it will have enough attitude to make even TVR owners take notice. No price has been released but the TSO R/T costs £44,950 so expect the GT to be around £50-55K.
