Wiesmann Shows Coupe

After the enthusiastic response to the BMW-based Wiesmann Roadster, great things are expected of this, the all-new, £73,500 GT.

Its chassis is an aluminium monocoque and this time the BMW power source is a 361bhp, 4.8-litre V8. The performance claims are 0-62mph in 4.6sec and a top speed of 174mph.

The GT's reinforced fibreglass body has grown in every direction compared with the Roadster. This is chiefly so that it can accommodate the M5's V10 in the near future. However, despite the increase in size, only 70kg has been added to the weight, raising it to 1190kg.
