Farboud GTS

3 Aug 2005

Development of the Farboud GTS (image) is now in its final stages. The company has new premises in Wiltshire, and the first production GTS should be delivered in November. Arash Farboud has sold his controlling interest in the company and Chris Marsh, son of Marcos founder Jem Marsh, is now at the helm.

The entry-level GTS is now powered by a Cosworth-developed 3-litre Ford Duratec V6 (it was previously Audi-engined) pushing out 255bhp, at a price of £48,000. The car weighs just 1000kg. Marsh is also working on a hotter GTS, with as much as 360bhp; it should be ready by the end of the year.
