Speeding insurance policy

Revenue raisers or life-savers? As the debate over the validity of speed cameras and their arbitrary use continues to rage, a new insurance policy has been introduced to provide drivers with legal and financial support in the event of losing their licence.

Called Guardian Angel, the new policy is open to anyone 21 years old and over, with up to and including six points on their licence, provided those points are the result of fixed penalty speeding endorsements; those with endorsements for dangerous, reckless and alcohol-related motoring offences are not eligible.

For an annual premium of ΂£108, Guardian Angel offers a range of services, including a 24/7 legal advice helpline, together with ΂£10,000 of legal expense insurance (for use with a panel of specialist road traffic lawyers), and, in the event of a ban, ΂£6000 to put towards the cost of alternative transport.
For more information, contact Guardian Angel on 0871 223 0070, or log-on to www.guardianangellp.co.uk quoting ref: ev.
