Brabus Rocket

Not one for understatement, Brabus has called its new 730bhp, 811lb ft(!) take on the Mercedes CLS the Rocket.

It's powered by a 6.3-litre derivative of the twin-turbo V12 from the SL 600, and the performance claims include 0-120mph in 10.5sec on the way to an electronically governed 217mph (350kph) top speed.

Brabus has had to develop a specially strengthened five-speed autobox for the Rocket, together with its own differential. The brake upgrade includes ceramic front discs clamped by 12-piston callipers.
