Roush 'stang

Respected Ford tuner Roush is producing a limited run of 50 supercharged Mustangs for the European market, partly to celebrate its 10th year of operations on this side of the pond, but also to establish itself as a maker of complete vehicles and not just performance parts.

The car, called the 420RE, is similar in specification to the Roush Mustang you can see in part one of eCoty, but it does without the full-on bodykit. However, it does feature the same Roots-type supercharger that liberates an extra 100bhp (raising the total to 420bhp), together with uprated exhaust system, suspension and brakes, as well as special Roush 18in alloys and louvred rear side windows.

Prices start at ΂£39,950 for the manual version and the 420RE will be available exclusively through the American Carriage Company (020 8834 7221) for the first six months of 2006. After that period, Roush will look at other UK outlets for its products, including its performance parts collection.
