Upgrades galore for Megane 225

Renault launched the mildly facelifted Megane Renaultsport 225 at the Autosport Show, complete with extra kit but no rise in price over the current £19,500.

'F1 Team' special edition isn't more powerful, but it does have more attitude.

The regular 225 now benefits from full leather upholstery, climate control and a fancier sound system, while for another £850 any sporting Megane can be ordered with the same grippy Recaro seats as the Clio Trophy.

As evo exclusively revealed last issue, to celebrate its 2005 Formula 1 success, Renault has also brought out a 'Renault F1 Team' special edition, based on the stripped-out Megane 225 Cup, also priced at £19,500.

With its Ultra Blue paint, 'F1 Team' stickers, and gloss-black alloys and door mirrors, the limited-run Renault has stacks of road presence. Inside it gains an upgraded stereo, climate control and Recaros over the spec of the Cup. The standard 225 Cup continues.
