Maserati celebrates

To commemorate its victory in the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers' Cup with the mid-engined MC12 supercar, Maserati has produced this limited edition coupe, the GranSport MC Victory, of which just 180 are to be made.

Although there are no changes to the engine, the steering has been modified to make it more direct and precise, while a larger front splitter combined with deeper side skirts are said to improve high-speed stability and responsiveness.

The front and rear spoilers are in blue carbonfibre to echo the look of the MC12. More blue carbonfibre makes its way into the cabin, while the leather and Alcantara upholstery and trim detailing are exclusive to the MC Victory.

There's no word yet on pricing or numbers for the UK, but expect it in British showrooms by the summer.
