Even with the launch of the next-generation Civic Type-R many months away, some Honda dealers are apparently talking up a 'Type-RR' derivative. This super-super-Civic could have as much as 240bhp and the all-wheel-drive system from the Legend. Pricing would be in the £23-24K region to keep it from overlapping with the S2000.

Mk5 Golf GTI-owning trackday fiends might be interested in a front brake upgrade kit from AP Racing. It comprises 330mm grooved and vented discs, four-piston callipers, braided hoses, Ferodo DS2500 pads and high-performance brake fluid. The kit costs £1641 and an extra 23 quid if you want red paint on your callipers. Call 0247 663 9595 for more details.

Brooke Cars is now taking orders for the all-new Double R (above) and expect deliveries to start this summer. Priced at £23,995 and powered by a 260bhp, 2.3-litre Cosworth Duratec engine, it could prove to be something of a performance bargain as it's claimed to hit 60mph in just 3.1sec.

They're just sooo common... Lamborghini recently produced the 2000th Murcilago. Over its five years in production to date, the UK has accounted for 10 per cent of sales.

ReVerie has developed a hardtop with gull-wing doors for the Lotus 340R. It's expected to cost between £2900 and £5200 depending on specification. Check it out at www.reverie.ltd.uk
