More Mustangs on the way

To maintain the current buzz around the Mustang, Ford has introduced several evocative special editions. Echoing the concept of the original 1966 version is the black and gold Shelby GT-H (above) that can only be rented through Hertz and is fitted with a Racing Power Pack that takes output to 325bhp; just 500 'rental only' examples will be built.

Also paying homage to a late-1960s Mustang is the GT California Special (bottom), which features a bodykit, bonnet scoop, unique stripes, 18in polished alloys and an upgraded interior. The California Special options pack is available for both coupe and convertible.

Meanwhile, owners of V6-engined Mustangs can now make their steed look more like the V8 through the 'Pony Package' (top), which includes suspension revisions, styling enhancements and bigger alloys.
