Hyundai Genesis Sports Coupe

Work continues on the Hyundai Genesis Sports Coupe...

This time we snapped the car undergoing cold-weather testing in northern Scandinavia. The new rear-wheel-drive Genesis Sports Coupé is to replace the current front-wheel-drive Tiburon, and Hyundai is to re-position the car naming the Ford Mustang as the target to hit. This has previously led to the rumour the new coupé might be offered with the Genesis’ 4.6-litre V8 engine, but insiders now state the top motor will be a 300-bhp 3.8-litre V6 with a turbocharged 215-bhp 2.0-litre being available, too. We expect the car to go on sale in Asia at the end of this year with first vehicles to arrive in Europe and the U.S. in early 2009.
