Aston Martin DB11 review – V12 Grand Touring at its finest? - Performance and 0-60 times
The DB11 is a fantastic GT car with a superb balance that is best on bigger roads
Performance and 0-60mph time
Thanks to a considerable boost in torque (thanks in turn to the pair of turbochargers), the DB11 sprints to 62mph in just 3.7sec. This is even more impressive when you realise the DB11 is only 30kg shy of 1.8 tons, despite its aluminium construction. Performance is strong across the whole rev-range, with the eight-speed ZF gearbox’s short ratios ensuring that serious torque is always within easy reach.
Unlike some modern turbocharged units though, the V12 rewards you for exploring the upper reaches of the rev range, while eliciting that trademark Aston Martin bark. In fact the car is far louder outside the cabin than in, which is just about the only reason you would want to get out.
