Jaguar F-type Heritage 60 Edition revealed

Jag’s SVO department assembles a limited-edition F-type to celebrate 60 years of the legendary E-type

Jaguar has revealed a new limited-run Heritage 60 Edition of its F-type Coupe and Roadster to celebrate 60 years since the launch of the iconic E-type. The special edition will be constructed by JLR’s SVO department and restricted to just 60 units globally, split between the two body styles.

Unique to the Heritage 60 Edition is the exclusive application of Sherwood Green, an original factory colour from the E-type’s launch in 1951. This is contrasted against a bespoke two-tone Ebony and Caraway (that’s black and beige) interior.

Also bespoke to the Heritage 60 Edition is a new aluminium console trim finisher inspired by the original E-type’s rear-view mirror casing, and a commemorative plaque positioned between the seats. These unique elements are all hand-finished by SVO’s team away from the standard production-line.

The F-type Heritage 60 Edition takes its mechanical baseline from the flagship P575 model, which is powered by the 567bhp version of JLR’s supercharged 5-litre V8 that used to be fitted in the now-dead F-type SVR. Power is sent to all four wheels, and like all current F-types an eight-speed ZF-sourced torque-converter automatic transmission is fitted.

Replacing the standard P575’s multi-spoke wheels is the usually optional twin five-spoke design with a diamond-cut finish.

Jag’s retro F-type is available to order now from £122,500 in Coupe form, with Roadsters costing a further £5480. The steep £25,185 premium over the standard P575 models is partially justified by the extra layer of hand-finishing by the SVO team.
