Jaguar XFR touring car

The Jaguar XFR touring car - a rather tremendous racer run by Italian team

How’s this for a cool touring car? As good as the BTCC is these days, we reckon it’d be a fair bit better if diesel SEATs and front-wheel-drive Vectras were replaced by 503bhp rear-driven Jaguar XFRs. This racing XF is actually the produce of Italian team Ferlito Motors, who compete in the Superstars Series against a range of four-door competitors, including the Audi RS4, Chrysler 300C and even a Maserati Quattroporte. No actual spec has been revealed, but we certainly hope it's packing the potent V8 engine from the XFR. It has only competed in one round, the season finale of the Superstars Series at South Africa’s Kyalami circuit, the only round outside of Italy. The Jag finished dead last, but it did cross the line, and should be fighting fit by the start of next season. It replaces Ferlito’s previous saloon racer, a Jaguar S-type (last picture, right). What do you think? Is this the coolest racing car out there at the moment?
