Lexus will take the LFA Nurburgring Package to the 2011 Geneva motor show. Big picture gallery here

We first brought you news of the Nurburgring edition Lexus LFA in March 2010, but it’s a year later at the 2011 Geneva motor show that the car can be seen in the flesh for the first time.   Created to celebrate the LFA’s on-track success at the Nurburgring 24-hours race, the ‘Ring package will be an option on a maximum of 50 cars, or 10 per cent of the total LFA production run.  Although the standard LFA isn’t exactly slow, Lexus promises cars equipped with the package will possess more track-focused performance. Modifications include a 10mm reduction in ride height along with aerodynamic tweaks such as side fin front spoilers, canard fin and a fixed rear wing.  To counter the resultant extra drag, an extra 10bhp brings the 4.8 V10’s power output up to 562bhp. Four colour choices are available, matte black, black, white or orange. Customers who take the plunge and specify the package will be offered one-to-one tuition with a Nurburgring chief instructor along with a year’s pass to the circuit. LFA production has now been underway since December 2010 at a rate of one hand-finished car per day.  Click the pictures below to enlarge them…
