Geneva 2011: FAB Design Mercedes SLS AMG

Another tuned Mercedes SLS AMG at the 2011 Geneva motor show. This one's by FAB Design

Following other efforts by Mansory, Hamann and Brabus already at Geneva, this is the FAB Design take on Mercedes SLS AMG supercar. And yet again, some of the tweaks are of somewhat dubious taste.

The biggest body modification is the grafting-on of a wide bodykit. Redesigned wings and side-skirts form seamless panels with the front and rear quarter panels. The rear bumper and diffuser have been changed, too.             The unique matt blue paint certainly makes the FAB Design car eye-catching, although arguably not as much as the coordinated interior. Rather garish white and blue leather adorns the cabin with striped door-cards and blue carbonfibre smattered across the centre console, steering wheel and air vents.            It would be easy to forget, given how the cosmetic changes dominate the FAB Design car, that they have also seen fit to improve the SLS’s performance. The front-mid-mounted 6.2-litre V8 now puts out 615bhp and 509lb ft, allowing the FAB Design to hit 60mph from rest in 3.6sec and a top speed of 201mph.
