Geneva 2011: Mansory Mercedes SLS AMG Video

Mansory unveils its Cormeum, a Mercedes SLS AMG supercar with several bold tweaks. PIctures and video here

Infamous tuning firm Mansory has turned its hand to Mercedes-Benz’s new flagship supercar, the SLS AMG, to create the Cormeum for the 2011 Geneva motor show. The unique carbon shell that envelopes the car has contributed to a 90kg weight saving over standard. This weight loss, combined with a power upgrade to 651bhp (from the standard 563 bhp) should allow for a marked improvement in performance.             As ever with Mansory, though, it is the cosmetic enhancements that will provoke the most debate. Along with what appear to be Ferrari 599 GTB headlights, the Cormeum boasts a redesigned front bumper, a lighter roof and doors, and wheel arch extensions that widen the car by 66mm at the front and 84mm at the rear. Also featuring at the back of the car is a spoiler with carbon flaps and a race diffuser that is said to contribute to an increase in downforce.            As well as these changes, the Cormeum has been lowered 20mm on redesigned springs and dampers. New wheels complete the external modifications, measuring 20in front and 21in rear.            There is currently no information on what the Cormeum will cost, although expect a significant increase over the standard car’s £157,500 list price. Mansory also showed off a similarly bold Ferrari 458 Italia, pictured right... See the Brabus Merc SLS and FAB Design Merc SLS See the rest of evo’s 2011 Geneva motor show news
