Behind the razzmatazz of Alfa's two new debuts at Geneva, the Brera Coupe and the 159, the true extent of the Fiat group's reorganisation became clear. The Ferrari-Maserati marriage is over, and Ferrari is to be a separate company under the Fiat umbrella (and a valuable one, should Fiat ever sell). Maserati and Alfa Romeo now co-exist within Fiat Auto, but most of Maserati's engines and paintwork will still come from Ferrari as a business arrangement.
