After three long years of waiting, the Roadster version of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage has finally arrived.
Your £150,000 buys an open-top Vantage with Aston's tried and tested 5.9-litre V12 engine shoehorned in the front. That means 510bhp and 420lb ft of torque going to the rear wheels, resulting in a 4.5sec 0-62mph time and a 190mph top speed. It's reassuringly old school, too, with a six-speed manual gearbox rather than a complex two-pedal transmission.
But with a Ferrari 458 Spider costing little more and an Audi R8 Spyder a lot less, is the raucous Aston special enough to compete? Jethro Bovingdon finds out in the video below.
