Alfa Romeo introduces new Giulia Veloce Ti among other updates

Equipment, styling and mechanical upgrades, plus a new Veloce Ti trim level to sharpen up Alfa’s impressive saloon

Alfa Romeo has announced a raft of updates for the Giulia and Stelvio ranges, including the introduction of a new Veloce Ti trim level, adding some Quadrifoglio styling elements to Alfa’s impressive sports saloon.

Starting with that Veloce Ti model, Alfa Romeo has added the Quadrifoglio’s dark-finish 19-inch telephone dial alloy wheels, splashes of carbonfibre on the wing mirrors and front grille and red brake calipers to the exterior. Those wanting to take things further can now also choose an optional Carbon Pack, adding the QV’s carbon lip spoiler, side skirts and a carbonfibre insert on the gear selector for a further £1650. Some of the colours that were bespoke to the QV are now also available on the Ti, including Competizione Red and Trofeo White.

Inside, Alfa Romeo has installed new black leather and Alcantara seats, the upgraded leather dash with carbonfibre inserts, standard fit ambient lighting and a Climate Pack. The new Veloce Ti isn’t cheap though, starting at £45,500 it’s only an option or two away from the significantly more powerful and recently updated Mercedes-AMG C43 or Teutonic, but still deeply desirable Audi S4.

The Veloce’s relative power deficit didn’t stop it from being one of our favourite sporting saloon’s of last year though, so these aesthetic upgrades should finally give the Giulia some added visual drama.

Other models lower down the Giulia range have also been given subtle upgrades, while all Giulias also now feature the larger 8.8-inch infotainment system as standard.

Finally, diesel-powered Giulia and Stelvio models have been upgraded to new Euro 6D compatible engines, which have also gained a subtle 10bhp jump.
