Novitec tweaks Ferrari SF90 Stradale to produce 1019bhp

Maranello's Ferrari SF90 Stradale has been given a very light overhaul courtesy of German tuner Novitec

Ferrari’s plug-in hybrid SF90 Stradale is its most powerful series production road car to date, boasting a higher combined power output than even the LaFerrari, but as is always the way though, German tuner Novitec has come up with some detail changes to make it even punchier.

First port of call is the exhaust system, with Novitec adding its own system with less restrictive 100-cell catalytic converters. Available in either stainless steel or lightweight Inconel, it comes complete with a pair of enlarged exhaust tips to sit within the factory rear bumper – systems can also be optioned with or without valve control, allowing drivers to modulate the noise levels.

Along with the exhaust upgrade, the tuner also improved heat insulation to help prevent heat-related power loss. As always with Novitec products, gold plating can be added to the engine compartment to improve this further.

These minor changes liberate an additional 32bhp and 43lb ft of torque over a standard SF90, with the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 now producing 802bhp and 633lb ft of torque alone, which when paired with the electric motors produces a combined 1019bhp. With such small gains though, 0-62mph remains at 2.5sec with top speed no higher at 211mph.

Novitec is offering a set of staggered 20 and 21-inch Vossen-designed forged wheels. These are available in 72 colours and can be wrapped in 255-section front and 325-section rear tyres, handy given its Bugatti Veyron-beating power output.

Also available are a set of sport springs, dropping ride height by 30mm at the front and 25mm at the rear. The cabin doesn’t have to stay untouched either, with complete reupholstery available in an array of colours of Alcantara and/or leather. This, typically, is just the start of Novitec’s development program for the SF90, so expect more substantial modifications to come in future.
