Video: BMW 1-series M Coupe top speed run

Back in June we took our BMW 1-series M Coupe long termer to the Nurburgring. It was staff writer Stephen Dobie and film-maker Sam Riley's transport for the 2011 N24 endurance race, and put in sterling service at eating up long distance miles and being entertaining on a sneaky lap of the Nordschleife, too.

But the 1M's best moment of trip came on the drive home, a chance to open the taps and see just how fast it would go on a piece of derestricted Autobahn. Check out some video footage of the run above.
