Makeover for Phaeton before new model's released

Rumours had it for a while that Volkswagen is going to refresh the ageing Phaeton flagship yet one more time before the new model will make its debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and will hit dealers just before Christmas that very year. And here is proof at last!

Cosmetic modifications will be done to the front bumper, grille and headlight units and might also include slightly redesigned taillamps, though, because of the camouflage there, we can’t spot any differences yet. Insiders state a huge V10 or V12 TDI might come – but they’re still tight-lipped about details.
