Audi A3 saloon concept news and pictures

Audi unveils a 402bhp, five-cylinder turbo saloon car ahead of its 2011 Geneva show debut

Audi has released teaser sketches of an A3 saloon concept car to be shown at the Geneva show next month.  The four-seater, four-door concept aims to showcase the potential expansion of the A3 family when the third-generation model launches in 2012, with a saloon set to join the existing range of three and five-door hatchbacks and a cabriolet. Its muscular styling takes cues from Audi’s latest design language, with the trapezoidal grille and LED headlamps making it look like a smaller, sportier A6. Continuing the concept’s muscular character is the drivetrain. Power comes from a five-cylinder turbocharged engine putting out 402bhp, which drives all four wheels via a seven-speed S tronic automatic transmission. It’ll be one of the 2011 Geneva motor show stars, and you can see everything else the show has to offer this way.
