Honda at Tokyo

Honda announces hybrid production plans

Honda president and CEO Takeo Fukui has announced the company’s intention to launch a production version of the FCX hydrogen fuel cell vehicle next year. It will debut at the LA Show in November. Longer term, a lightweight hybrid sportscar, based on the CR-Z Concept, will be launched in 2009.

The announcements mark the beginning of the next generation of environmentally-friendlier vehicles.
